A Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!
What a wonderful, magical, fun-filled day it was at our Christmas Open House! I was so very happy that you all enjoyed the day and that you were all truly surprised when you walked in to see our enchanted winter holiday! If you missed out on the fun, you can view lots of wonderful pictures of the event and you can also read a few words from our Mulberry gals called “Christmas Warms the Heart”. I want to thank you all for coming, it means so much to all of us. When we see your wonderful smiling faces beaming with surprise when you walk through our cottage door, it makes all of our hard work so worthwhile. I want to also thank the West High School Choir who sang those wonderful Christmas Carols. Their voices sounded so beautiful and filled the morning air with the sounds of Christmas! Also, congratulations to our five Early Bird Raffle winners: Pastor Nancy Smith, Liz Ball, Virginia Ybarra, Joy Crugnale, and Merry Andersen! These lucky people got first look at our winter wonderland and got to shop for 30 minutes before anyone else!
Right now, Mulberry Cottage is full of so many wonderful decorations and gifts for all those loved ones on your list. There’s so much to see, you can’t take it all in on your first trip through the store. Each room is filled with the holiday spirit and as your eyes peruse through our many holiday treasures your ears will be enjoying some beautiful Christmas music. And if you hear a tune that strikes your fancy, just ask one of the Mulberry gals and she will find you the CD so you can bring the Christmas melodies home with you! We also have so many wonderful stocking stuffers and some adorable cuddly stuffed animals that need to go to a good home of some little boy or girl. What a big smile the little one will have when they find a cuddly stuffed animal in their stocking or under the tree. Of course, we also have one of the largest selections of Jim Shore in the area, plus some exclusive Limited Edition Jim Shore Christmas items so come in quick because these are going fast!
Another line, which was a big hit last year is Mr. Christmas. These wonderfully enchanting musical and animated collectibles are so fun to watch and listen to. You’ll find it hard choosing which ones to get, since they’re all so wonderful. There’s music boxes, carousels… my favorite is the Nutcracker, you must see this one. We all love it, especially Veronica, one of our display girls. She always wants us to gather around and watch when it’s playing. You need to see this before it’s gone.
Now I want to mention all of the wonderful scrumptious and yummy goodies we have for gifts or that special holiday meal. From jams, jellies, syrups, dips, soups to cookies and candy, I guarantee you’ll find something delicious! To help you choose, we will be sampling something tasty every day. Weekends we’ll be sampling soups and something sweet, and during the week we’ll be sampling something tasty to eat and drink. I feel that a gift of food will always warm the heart. I could go on and on about all the wonderful gifts we have but there’s not enough room. So please come in and ask any of the gals to help you find that special gift you were looking for.
I love every season, but for me Christmas is a time that always fills my heart with joy and peace. Yes it gets crazy, and at times and a little stressful… O.K. a lot stressful. But on Christmas Eve when I’m gathered with my family, my sisters and my Great nephews and nieces, I’m filled with warmth, joy, love and laughter. On Christmas day when we gather at Mitch’s parent’s house with all of his family (and there’s a lot of them), there’s love, laughter, warmth and joy and back home late on Christmas night with my husband and our crazy cats and a warm fire in the fireplace, all cuddled up on the couch watching a holiday movie our home filled with warmth, joy, love, and a lot of laughter… What more could a person ask for? How much more can a person be blessed?
Merry Christmas to you all and to all a Blessed Good Night!
Love,
Jamie
