Usually we don’t reveal the new items until the Open House, but not this time! Some of these are so wonderful that I felt they should be put out right away, like the wonderful bathroom and kitchen accessories from Blonder home which make beautiful additions to your kitchen and bathroom for all those relatives stopping by for the holidays! Looking for that special little something? How about some new pop-up note pads and birthday cards? Plus, more of our ever-popular Warm Glow Candles are in. If you want them, come in soon. These sell out quick. We will re-order, but it never seems to be fast enough!
Remember summer days gone by… I remember having many fun, Hawaiian themed family gatherings back in the ‘60s. You know with the tiki torches, barbecues, little tiki glasses with umbrellas and the monkeys made out of coconuts! I actually have many old family pictures of these gatherings at my grandmother’s home. I also still have some of my grandmother’s jewelry from Hawaii that she used to wear. Ahh, those were the days. Oh I do miss them.
If you haven’t been to Hawaii, well… we’re bringing it to you. Yes, this Cottage girl loves the scents and styles of Hawaii, so I’ve been on the hunt for some distinctively unique items from the island. Leslie and I found a line of “Hawaiian Luau” themed wind chimes handcrafted by Balinese artisans that brought smiles to our faces. These bamboo wind chimes feature fat monkeys made from coconuts, goony birds, giraffes, and more modeled after the popular souvenir items typical of 1960s Hawaiian vacations. We just had to get them and now you can pick them up at the shop just in time for your summer gathering! We’ve also discovered some unique jewelry items, perfumes, and just plain fun items. So for those of you like me who love the islands, we’ve brought the islands to you!
